Moving Part 2: Hit the road...

Part 2 of our recap of our move from Indianapolis to Los Angeles begins with us saying "see you later" to some friends and family.

Meet Brewski (Brew for short!)

Brew is our cousin and lives down the street from our home in Indianapolis.

Brew is one of our best friends and always excited when we get a chance to play.

 Olive made sure that our last stop before we hit the road was a mini morning play session with Brew.

"I know I can always lean on Brew!"

 Otis loves Brews deck that overlooks the entire backyard...

This is our aunt Sara.

 She comes and visits us when Mommy and Daddy are out of town

 (or when she just needs some bulldog kisses!)

Time to hit the road...

Moving Part 1: Moving Day

So this is the first time we have ever moved from our home...and we weren't sure about how it was going to go. Mommy and Daddy were going back and forth between Indiana and California so much that before we knew it, it was moving day.

On Moving day we got up early and decided to spend some last minutes at our home in Indiana doing some of our favorite things

Spending mornings in our backyard...

Hanging out on our porch

Working on the blog

and sneaking a nap when possible.

...and just sitting around.

The movers then showed up and began packing our things.

We went to the garage and tried to pitch in.

Otis wanted to bring his sled to California.

I tried to tell him that there isn't any snow where we are moving to...

 ...but he didn't listen and insisted we bring it.

Otis took charge supervising the moving crew to make sure they didn't forget any of our things.

But I decided to hide in my secret spot under Daddy's desk.

Until Daddy found me.

All this supervising was wearing Otis out so he retreated to the garage.

Wow!
Moving is hard. In the past 2 weeks we have packed up our home in Indiana, moved across the country to California, Lived in a hotel and moved into our new home...who needs a vacation???
Over the next few days we will look back at our move and some friends we made along the way.
